Front suspension upper control arm ball joint lubrication is lost allowing corrosion, accelerated wear, and failure of the ball joint to stay together resulting in loss of steering. Dealers will replace the front upper control arm assembly.

2005 Dodge Durango> Fuel tank filler tube inlet check valve fails to close when refueling and allows fuel to escape through the filler neck at the end of refueling.

2007 Dodge Nitro> Failure of the windshield wiper system is caused by high usage of the variable pause wiper function.

2007-08 Jeep Wrangler made 06/2006 to 07/2008> Automatic transmission fluid can boil over into hot engine or exhaust causing a fire. Dealers will install a “Hot Oil” message in the instrument cluster and a chime indicating an elevated transmission fluid condition.

2007-08 Jeep Wrangler tow bars> Mopar tow bar P/N 82209758 can break allowing the towed vehicle to come loose.

2008-2009 Dodge Ram 2500, 3500, 3500 CAB equipped with “Powers and Sons” steering linkage> The drag link inner tie rod to pitman arm ball stud fractures and the steering linkage damper attaching bracket may yield and shift on the linkage resulting in a loss of steering control and the restricted ability to turn the vehicle in one direction.

2009 Dodge Journey, Jeep Commander, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler> Reversed wiring on the steering column for the airbag control module prevents the airbag from deploying in a crash.

2009 Dodge Ram light duty pickup trucks> Software for the manual temperature control causes the defrosting and defogging functions to become inoperative.

2009 Sebring, Dodge Avenger 2.4L> Dash instrument display for the gas gauge reads high resulting in the car running out of fuel when the gauge still shows there’s fuel. Dealers will replace the fuel pump module.

2009 Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan> Power circuit electrical connectors for the blind spot detection system become corroded and short circuit causing an electrical fire.

1995-99 355, 355 F1> Screw clamps that fasten the water sleeve to the thermostat can abrade the adjacent fuel line(s) causing a gas leak and engine fire. Dealers will install an insulator divider block to protect the fuel lines.

2005-2007 F40 Spider> Fluid leaks from cracks in the convertible top hydraulic hoses and onto the engine causing a fire.

1995-2003 Windstar; 2000-03 Excursion, 1993-97; 1999-2003 F-Super Duty; 1992-2003 Econoline, 1995-2002 Explorer, Mountaineer; 1995-1997 and 2001-03 ranger; 1994 F53> Texas Instruments speed control deactivation switch leaks internally and shorts out causing smoke, or catches the wiring harness on fire. Dealers will install a fused wiring harness for the switch and inspect the abs control connector and repair as necessary.

2009 4X2 Ranger> Front wheel spindles fracture allowing the wheel to separate from the truck.

2009 Expedition, Navigator> Improperly adjusted brake stop lamp switch prevents the brake lights from working.

2001 Civic, Accord> Driver's airbag inflator can rupture and propel metal fragments into the driver’s face.

Contaminated brake lamp switch causes loss of brake lamps or brake lamps staying on.

2005 -07 Corvette; 2006-07 Corvette Z06> ADHESIVE fails to hold the removable roof panel to the frame allowing it to separate and hit another vehicle. Note: The driver may notice a snapping noise when driving over bumps, wind noise, poor roof panel fit, roof panel movement/bounce when a door or hatch is closed, or a water leak in the headliner.

2005-2006 Pontiac G6> Corrosion in the wiring connector prevents the brake lights from operating, the cruise control may not engage, and greater brake pedal force may be required to shift the vehicle out of park.

2008-2009 Pontiac G8> 1) Improperly programmed brake stop lamp switch causes loss of brake stop lamp illumination or continual brake light illumination. 2) Tire Pressure monitoring preprogrammed values allows the pressure to fall too low before warning the driver.

2009 Chevrolet Traverse> Failure of the parking brake cable link connector allows the shift lever to be left in some position other than the park position, resulting in unintended vehicle movement.

2009-2010 Pontiac Vibe 1.8L> Engine crankcase condensation blocks the intake manifold vacuum port for the power brake vacuum booster causing loss of brake assist in extremely low temps. 2008-10 Accord 4-door> Material in the aftermarket full nose masks (bras), P/N 08P35-TAO-100 & 08P35-TA6-100 interferes with the secondary hood latch mechanism and the hood may pop open while the vehicle being driven.

2002-2003 Sonata> Cracked chrome plating on the upper edge inboard and outboard surfaces of the door handle may inflict laceration injuries to anyone using the door handle.

Fuel leaks in the fuel delivery line where the line connects with a rubber hose during cold starts in extremely cold temperatures.

2005-2006 Baja> Cracks in the fuel hose connection on the outlet pressure side of the fuel pump can leak gasoline and cause a fire.

Toyota

2000-03 Tundra> Road salt corrodes the rear cross member and allows the spare tire stowed under the truck bed to damage the rear brake lines causing loss of rear brakes or fall onto the Highway and cause a road hazard. Toyota is asking owners to remove the spare tire until a remedy can be obtained. Dealers will inspect the components and replace them or coat with a corrosion protection compound. 2006-10 Audi A3, TT, TT Roadster made 09/29/05 to 09/26/09> Fuel tank vent valve doesn’t close properly and can leak fuel in a rollover or during extreme driving maneuvers.

2006-2009 Jetta (5^th Generation) 2.01 engine> Improperly made driveshaft cover plate screws come loose allowing the driveshaft to detach from the gearbox and damage the housing allowing gear oil onto the road causing danger to other drivers. Note: The condition is preceded by a knocking sound.

Panther: 2008-2009 P50, P150> Failure to meet DOT requirements for a parking brake, because it must be all mechanical and not dependent of hydraulic pressure.

BMW: 2008 F650 GS, F800 GS> Chain sprocket fasteners come loose from the sprocket, jamming the chain and causing loss of control.

Piaggio: 2008-2009 Aprilia Scarabeo 100> 1) Hoses connecting the fuel tank to the charcoal canister are pinched and/or crimped. 2) Hoses in and out of the charcoal canister were installed backwards. 3) Fuel tank roll over valve for installed incorrectly. 4) Dirt and/or faulty float valves in the carburetor cause flooding, hard starting, stalling, fuel leaks.

Piaggio: 2008-2009 Aprilia Scarabeo 200> 1) incorrect float level in the carburetor 2) Dirt and varnish residue of dried gasoline keeps the float needle from seating correctly 3) Blocked hoses that don’t let the float bowl vent.
