2006-2007 550I, 650I, 2007 X5 V8 Engine> Below freezing temps cause static discharge at the fuel rails resulting in the engine electronic control unit stalling the engine.
2007 6-Series> Front passenger seat sensor falsely interprets a small adult as a child in a child seat and deactivates the airbag. Dealers will replace the sensor.
2007 Mini Cooper, Cooper S> Tire size and corresponding tire pressure be indicated on the label doesn’t correspond to the tires on the vehicle.
2007 X5> Low brake fluid warning switch located in the fluid reservoir cap fails to turn on the dash warning light when the fluid levels drops low.
Chrysler
2001-2002 Dakota, Durango, Ram Pickup/Van> Faulty ignition/park shift interlock allows the shifter to be moved out of the "park" position with the ignition key removed (or in the "lock" position), which could allow the vehicle to roll away without warning.
2004-2006 Durango> Overheating of the instrument cluster printed circuit for vehicle interior lighting causes an electrical fire in the dash.
2005 Caravan, Town & Country> Airbag sensors located in the front of the vehicle become contaminated, especially in northern states with road salt. The sensors brass bushings corrode and turn on the airbag warning light and/or prevent airbag deployment in frontal crashes. Note: This is a recall in salt states, and secret warranty in all other states. Dealers will install new sensors which contain steel bushings and housings molded of crastin material.
2005-2006 PT Cruiser> Rear quarter glass attaching fasteners may pull through their mounts and allow the glass to come loose and strike another vehicle or pedestrian.
2006 Ram> Poorly greased front wheel bearing causes bearing degradation, and results in hub assembly separation causing a loss of vehicle control.
2006-2007 Jeep Liberty> The blower motor may overheat and cause an interior electrical fire on those vehicles fitted with Valeo (HVAC) systems.
2007 Dodge Caliber, Jeep Compass & Patriot 4X4> Rear disc brakes wheel hub mounting bolts may prevent actuation of the park brake.
2007 Dodge Nitro, Jeep Wrangler> Software glitch in the engine control computer (Totally Integrated Power Module TIPM) causes engine stall.
2007 Dodge Ram (2WD manual transmission)> Front driveshaft yoke breaks causing loss of vehicle control.
2007 Dodge Ram 2500> The 34 gallon fuel tank becomes damaged during certain crash conditions, which could allow fuel leakage. Dealers will install a fuel tank shield onto the front frame cross member.
2007 Dodge Sprinter> Cracks in the window airbag module diffuser material prevents the airbag from deploying properly increasing risk of injury to the occupant.
2007 Nitro; 2006-2007 Commander, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler> ABS control software glitch causes momentary delay in brake application when coasting uphill. Dealers will reprogram the ABS computer.
2007 Ram 2500 4WD diesel> Incorrect tire pressure printed on the tire loading information label.
2007 Ram 3500> Fuel tank straps on the optional 23 gallon tank fail to hold the tank, which can come loose and leak fuel.
2007-2008 Avenger, Sebring 2.4L> Engine coolant leaks into the left radiator cooling fan motor connector causing a short and engine compartment electrical fire. Dealers will install a wiring harness overlay.
2007-2008 Avenger, Sebring> Front door latch cable comes unseated from the interior release handle housing causing the latch to stick in the open position or the lock function to fail to work. Dealers will add a secondary lock on both front doors.
2007-2008 Dodge Avenger> Front door latch cable comes unseated from the interior release handle housing causing the latch to stick open and not connect to the striker resulting in the door opening in a crash. Dealers will add hardware to the front door latch cable ferrule.
2007-2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Commander> Front brake calipers could fracture without warning causing increased stopping distance and could cause a crash.
2007-2008 Sebring, 2008 Avenger> Failure of the front seat track position sensor can increase the risk of injury to front seat occupants in a crash.
2008 Avenger (all wheel drive)> Faulty fuel tank straps allow the tank to come loose from the vehicle and separate causing it to leak fuel.

1997-2003 E-Series Excursion, F-450 & 550 Super Duty 7.3L Diesel> Intermittent failure of the camshaft position sensor causes unexpected engine stall. Dealers will install an improved camshaft position sensor.
2001-04 Escape> Missing or dislodged wire seals of the ABS module connector allows water intrusion, illuminated ABS warning lamp, electrical short, burning odor, smoke, and/or fire. Note: The condition may occur with the ignition key on or off.

2003-2005 Police Vehicles> Certain steel wheels (based on the part number) crack in the rim near the weld line that connects the rim to the disk causing rapid tire pressure loss.
2007 Crown Victoria, Mercury Marquis> Antilock brake system right side front and rear brake lines are reversed at the hydraulic control unit which compromises brake operation.

2008 Explorer, Explorer Sport Trac, Mountaineer 4.6L engine & 6R transmission> Bolt securing the transmission oil cooler line fittings at the transmission loosens and the transmission oil cooler lines come loose causing a transmission fluid leak which can cause a fire.
2008 F-250 thru F-550 with 6.4 diesel> 1) PCM programming glitch results in excess fuel delivery, lack of power, rough engine operation, overheating of the diesel particulate filter which makes noises from the engine or exhaust, white exhaust smoke, or flames coming out the tailpipe. 2) The battery positive (B+) wire rubs against the right hand splash shield bolt which may pierce its insulation causing a short and underhood electrical fire.

2001 Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban; GMC Sierra, Yukon 8.1L V8> Crankshaft position failure causes unexpected engine stall.
2001 Saturn L-Series 2.2L> Engine timing chain links separate causing sudden engine stall.
2001-2004 Aztek, Montana; 2002-2004 Rendezvous, Venture> Exposure of the fuel tank inlet check valve to high ambient air temperatures from exposure causes it to crack and allow gas to leak from the side of the tank.
2003-2007 Kodiak, 2003-07 Topkick> ZF Model 8018 steering gear exhibits a cracking/pinging sound; the steering wheel isn’t straight and is hard to turn.
2005-2006 Cobalt> Vehicles not equipped with the optional roof-mounted side impact air bags fail to provide adequate head impact protection meeting DOT standards. Dealers will install energy absorbing plastic to the headliner trim to reduce the severity of head impacts in a crash.
2007 Cadillac CTS> Failure to conform to DOT standards because the power sunroof operates after the ignition is turned off.
2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent equipped with optional roof rail airbags or sunroof> Failure to comply with dot requirements for interior occupant protection. Dealers will install an energy absorbing foam piece to each of the a-pillar trim assemblies.
2007 Chevrolet Express, GMC Savanna vans> Rear brakes fail to release, causing overheating of the brakes and increased stopping distances. Dealers will reprogram the ABS control module.
2007 Chevrolet Kodiak, GMC Topkick> Rear axle housing steel was manufactured too thin and can crack at the outboard end of the housing. If the housing breaks loose, the axle shaft, brake assembly, hub and wheel will separate from the vehicle while underway causing complete loss of vehicle control.
2007 Chevy Equinox, Pontiac Torrent> Incorrect adhesive primer prevents the windshield, liftgate glass or side stationary glass from remaining attached to the vehicle in a crash which could increase the risk of injury to the occupants. Dealers will re-glue the windshield, the liftgate glass, and the side stationary glass.
2007 Chevy Equinox, Pontiac Torrent> Passenger seat sensing system fails to determine the presence of a child in the seat and to turn off the airbag. Dealers will reprogram the SIR control unit. Note: This recall is in Nevada, Arizona, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii.
2007 GMC Acadia, Saturn Outlook> Failure of the airbag sensing and diagnostic module prevents airbag deployment in a frontal crash. Note: the air bag warning lamp on the instrument panel may also fail.

Cadillac 2005-2007 CTS, SRX, STS, 2006-2007 Solstice; 2007 Saturn Sky> Leaking rear axle pinion seal causes failure of the rear differential and loss of power.
Honda
1998-2007 Civic Compressed natural gas Vehicles> A severe interior fire in the rear seat prevents the pressure relief device from venting the contents of the tank which results in a tank rupture, explosion, and ejection of the tank from the vehicle. Dealers will install a heat insulator material.
2003-2006 Accord> Aftermarket TYC brand headlamp assemblies do not meet DOT standards for photometric alignment which can diminish frontal lighting. Repurchase offers are being sent out.
2004-2005 Accord> Over tightened wiring harness (attached to the driver’s seat frame) for the Seat Position Sensor breaks causing air bag warning light to be illuminated and the air bag system to default to full inflation pressure, regardless of the seat position increasing the risk of injury for smaller drivers.
2005 Acura-RL,-TL, -TSX, Accord, Odyssey; 2006 Ridgeline> Failed fuel pump relay causes loss of pump operation and stall without warning.
2005-2008 Acura RL> High under-hood temps make the power steering hose deteriorate, crack and leak. Dealers will install a new heat resistant power steering hose.
2006 Civic Hybrid> Parts of the Integrated Motor Assist system located under a metal cover behind the rear seat-back may contact the metal cover due to the weight of rear seat passengers The rubber cap covering an electrical terminal may get pinched, exposing the electrical terminal resulting in an electrical short that blows the IMA fuse causing the engine to stall. Dealers will install a plastic cover attached to a metal bracket over the rubber cap.
2006 Civic Sedan & Hybrid> Over lubrication of the steering column allows some of the lubricant to contaminate the brake light switch. This causes failure of the brake lights and prevents the gear selector from being shifted out of park.
2006-07 Civic> Faulty rear wheel ABS sensor O-ring seal allows water, road contamination or salt to enter the wheel bearing housing which damages the bearing. A loose bearing can allow the wheel fall off.
2007-2008 Fit> Corrosion of the occupant position detection system wire harness under the driver’s side carpet prevents suppression of firing of the passenger airbag with a child passenger.
2008 Acura RDX> Tire and rim size labels contain incorrect information.

2005-2006 HXR> ZF Model 8018 steering gear exhibits a cracking/pinging sound; the steering wheel isn’t straight and is hard to turn.

2007 XKR> Rubber vacuum supply brake power booster hose is too close to the exhaust gas recirculation valve and exhaust manifold causing the hose to melt and loss of power brake assist.

2002 Sportage> Engine heat causes the plastic cooling fan blades to deform and crack and subsequent fan operation causes separation of the fan blade(s) or fan retaining ring which can allow the fan and/or blades to fly outward causing personal injury.

2007 MazdaSpeed3> 1) Optional accessory all weather floor mats have insufficient clearance for the accelerator pedal which can get stuck and cause unintended acceleration. 2) Repeat jack rabbit starts and slamming on the brakes cause the left side #4 engine mount bolt to loosen/break and allow the transaxle to twist enough so that the axle drive shaft pops out resulting in a sudden loss of power.
Mercedes Benz
2000-2004 CL-Class> Exposure to humidity causes corrosion and deterioration of the active body control's high pressure distribution hose causing a hydraulic leak which may catch fire on the hot catalytic converter or hot engine components. Dealers will replace the hose with a corrosion-resistant one.
2007 SLR> Windshields weren’t installed correctly.
2008 C-Class> Rear outboard seat belts don’t comply with the DOT lap-belt lock-ability requirement for use with older non-latch child restraints.
Nissan
1997-2001 Infinity QX4, Pathfinder> Inadequate coating of the fuel filler pipe allows it to rust out at the lower mounting bracket and leak fuel—especially a problem in northern states where salt corrosion will perforate the pipe. (Recall in: Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia , Wisconsin, and District Of Columbia)
2002, 2005-06 Altima, Sentra 2.5L> Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor overheats which interrupts the signal from the sensor and causes the ECM to stall the engine. Dealers will reprogram the ECM so it is less sensitive to CKP sensor signal failure. Note: The 2006 ALTIMA was recalled under campaign 06V223.
2004 Titan Crew Cab> Difficulty in pulling the rear center seat belt out of the retractor spool discourages belt usage.
2007 Armada> Driver's side third row seat belt upper anchor bracket may be cracked preventing proper restraint of the occupant in a crash.
2007 Quest> Front suspension assembly bolt wasn’t tightened properly and if loose will cause difficulty steering the vehicle. Note: The loose bolt will cause a rattling noise and vibration.
2007 Versa hatchback> Damaged terminals on the passenger side wiring harness for the seat belt sensor occupant detection system prevents operation of the passenger frontal airbag.
2007-2008 Altima> Dealer replacement body control computers aren’t programmed for the tire pressure monitoring system (YPMS) and it won’t function. The TPMS must be reactivated.
2008 Xterra> Some Antilock Brake System/Vehicle Dynamic Control (ABS/VDC) actuators were manufactured with more than one check ball in the valve, which blocks the fluid flow hinders operation of the ABS/VDC and causing a reduction of braking ability.

2002-2005 Land Rover, Freelander> Faulty/misadjusted brake switch causes the brake lights to remain lit. Note: the hill descent control, traction control, and cruise control dash warning lights may be on.
Saab
2000-03 9-3 Convertible; 2001-2005 9-5; 2002 9-3> Fuel pump retaining tabs holding the fuel lines to the fuel pump come loose causing a fuel leak. Dealers will install a securing bracket to secure the fuel lines to the pump in case the plastic retaining tabs break. Note: This is an expansion of previous recalls.

2006 Forester, Impreza> Front passenger seat air bag occupant detection system wiring harness shorts out at the floor crossmember and seat mounting bracket causing potential for an electrical fire or disable the passenger’s airbag.
Suzuki
2002-2006 Aerio> Failure of the retaining clip attached to the gear shift lever to on the 5-speed manual transmissions allows the gear shift cable to become disconnected resulting in the loss of ability to shift gears.
2004-2006 Forenza, Reno> Melted splice junction for the headlamp low beam or daytime running light causes losses of function. Dealers will splice the power circuit wires.
2006-2007 Forenza 2006-2007 Reno> Front seat belt buckle fails to latch properly causing the buckle to release without pressing the release button. This could prevent a person from using the seat belt or could cause the seat belt to fail to function as designed, can increase the risk of injury in a crash.
2006-2007 Grand Vitara> Sticking shift lock arm allows the automatic transmission to be shifted out of "park" with the key removed and without depressing the brake pedal. Dealers will replace the shift lock module.
Toyota
2004-2007 Sequoia; 2004-2006 Tundra> Premature ball joint wear causes front suspension noise, increased steering effort, failure of the steering wheel to return to center, and ultimately separation of the ball joint from the steering knuckle which causes loss of steering control.
2006-2007 Scion XA, XB> Rostra aftermarket speed controls installed by Southeast Toyota or Gulf States Toyota processing centers have faulty modules which don’t turn off until the “ON/OFF” switch is pressed twice.
2007 Tundra 4-WD> Broken driveshaft slip yoke allows the propeller (drive) shaft to come loose and drop down into the roadway causing loss of vehicle control; or to fly around and smash into the fuel tank causing a fuel leak and fire.
2007-2008 Camry, Lexus ES350> Optional accessory all weather floor mats not secured with two grommet holes and retaining hooks interfere with the accelerator pedal and cause it to become stuck resulting in unintended acceleration.
Volkswagen
1999-2006 GTI, Golf; 2001-2005 Jetta; 2001-2007 New Beetle; 2004 R32> Faulty brake light switch causes inoperative brake lights or keeps them turned on.
2003 Audi A4, A6, Passat 1.8L turbo, 2.8L V6, 3.0L> Electric fuel pump component failure leaks to fuel stoppage and sudden engine stall. Note: This recall is an amendment to a previous campaign (please see 06V017).
2005-2008 Jetta; 2006-2008 GTI; 2006-2008 R32, Rabbit> Failure to comply with DOT requirements for providing proper headlight aiming adjustment devices.
2006 Audi A6 Avant> Failure of one of the rear hatch lid struts will cause the electric motor operating software to disengage the motor which allows the lid to suddenly drop. Dealers will reprogram the software.

2001-2002 S60 (sold or operated in Arizona and Nevada)> Poor fuel quality and high heat causes fuel pump leakage and possible fire.
2003-2004 S60, V70> Cracks in the solder joints of the fuel rail-mounted pressure sensor cause erratic fuel pressure data input to the engine control computer resulting in misfire, power loss, stalling, check engine light with diagnostic trouble codes.
2007-2008 XC90> Failure of the Climate Control Module (CCM) causes loss of defroster operation. Dealers will reprogram the CCM.
2008 XC70> Problems with the airbag control software causes late deployment of the side curtain airbag, or erroneous illumination of the SRS Airbag warning light.
2008 XC70> Wheel data label located on the rear driver's side door pillar was printed without listing the wheel size (rim) information.

Big Dog 2005 Bulldog, 2005 DT Chopper, 2005 N-Chopper; 2005-2006 Mastiff, Pitbull, Ridgeback, 2006 Chopper, K-9> Short circuit from a warped bus bar in the alternator voltage starts an electrical fire.
Big Dog 2005-2007 Bulldog, Chopper; 2005-2008 Mastiff; 2006-2008 K-9; 2008 Mutt> Broken rear fender strut attaching bolts allow the rear fender to detach from the motorcycle.
Big Dog 2006-2007 K-9; 2007 Bulldog, Mastiff> Sissy bar assemblies sold as an accessory produces excessive movement which could cause the bolts that to break and the sissy bar to come off.
Big Dog 2007 Bulldog> Tachometer circuit board short circuits against the housing and causes the engine to suddenly stall.
BMW 2003-07 K1200S; 2004-07 K1200R; 2005-07 K1200R Sport; 2005-07 K1200 GT> Short trips especially in cold temps causes water accumulation in the oil tank and condensing water vapor freezes the oil tank air bleed valve which causes the tank to pressurize and rupture dumping oil onto the rear tire.
BMW 2005-2007 K1200 R Sport> Vibration from long periods of riding at sustained high rpm causes brake fluid in the reservoir to foam and loss of braking capability. Dealers will install a damper weight in the reservoir to dampen the foaming.
BMW 2006-2007 F650 GS/Dakar> Improper weld causes side stand failure.
BMW 2007 F650 GS> Clamping blocks for the top fork bridge fail to hold the handlebars securely in position.
BMW 2007 G650X Moto, Challenge, Country> 1) Hex nut is improperly seated against the left side tensioner—which has been incorrectly installed on the right side—causing the rear wheel axle to loosen and make the motorcycle unstable. 2) The wiring contacts in the plug for the fuel pump can break causing fuel pump failure and sudden engine stall.
Buell 2006-2007 XB12R>A Vibration at the mounting location of the bank angle sensor and misrouting of the sensor wires compromise the sensor operation causing false “tip over” signal resulting in unexpected engine stall.
Bull Dog 2008 Mastiff, K-9, Ridgeback> Fuel line melts against hot engine parts and melts causing a fire.
CMSI 2006 Twist N Go Milano ML151 scooters> Rear fender mounting brackets fatigue and separate causing rear wheel lock-up while underway.
Ducati 2006-2007 Sport Classic> Fasteners for the fuel pump hose can separate from the filter inside the fuel tank and cause loss of fuel pressure and sudden engine stalling.
Ducati 2007 1098> Faulty programming of the ECU causes engine stall if the cooling system temp exceeds 180F. Dealers will reprogram the ECU.
Ducati 2007 model 1098> 1) Coolant leaks from the cylinder head thermostat hose horizontal fittings and onto the rear wheel causing loss of control. 2) Self-adjusting timing belt tensioner was made dimensionally incorrect and allows the timing belt to contact its cover and break which causes the engine to abruptly lock up.
Ducati 2007 Monster S4RS> Failure of the water pump impeller causes engine overheating and engine seizure.
Ducati 2008 Hypermotard> Battery can move around inside the mounting compartment damaging the main wiring harness at the battery terminal which causes an electrical short.
East Side Custom Choppers 2005-2006 Psycho; 2003-2004 Savage> Factory-installed welded gusset plate connecting the frame backbone, neck, and down tube is missing allowing additional stress on the welds causing rapid wear and possible frame separation of the neck, down tube, and backbone joints which could cause the driver to lose steering and control of the bike
E-Ton 2005 Beamer Matrix Scooter> Stress cracks in the rear wheel assembly where the brake drum attaches to the wheel results in hub separation or loss of brakes.
Harley Davidson 2006-2007 XL1200L; 2007 XL1200N> The exhaust manifold/header/muffler/tail pipe can come in direct contact with the rider’s leg which could lead to the possibility of burn injury to the rider. Dealers will add an exhaust shield to cover the exhaust.
Harley Davidson 2006 VRSCR> Exhaust manifold/header/muffler/tail pipe can come in direct contact with the rider’s leg which could lead to the possibility of burn injury to the rider. Dealers will add a new heat shield, P/N 66820-06 to cover the exhaust.
Harley Davidson 2007 Sportster; Dyna; FXD, FXDB, FXDC, FXDL, XL1200L, XL1200R, XL50, XL883, XL883L, XL883R> Incorrect front tire installed could cause performance issues.
Honda 2002-2005 VFR800> 18-pin connector for the front fairing sub-harness section of the wiring overheats and causes loss of headlights, front turn signals, instrument panel, and power relays which cause the engine to stall.
Honda 2006-2007 CBR1000RR> Improper welded vent pipe in the bottom of the fuel tank may crack and drip fuel.
Honda 2007 CMX250C> Faulty plastic crankcase breather separator blocks the engine breather passage and allows build-up of pressure inside the crankcase which pushes out left side engine seal and allows oil to spray onto the rear tire causing loss of control.
Hyosung 2006 GV650> Motorcycles equipped with Edward Park handlebars, the bolts retaining the handlebars are too short, can loosen and cause loss of steering control.
Kawasaki 2002-2007 KL650A, 2008 KL650E> Loose muffler mounting bolts allow the muffler to come loose.
Kawasaki 2003 VN1600-A1, VN1600-A1L> Stress cracks in the gas tank mounting tabs welds create a fuel leak.
Kawasaki 2004 Ninja EX250F18, EX250F18L; 2005 EX250F19, EX250F19L; 2006 EX250F6F, EX250F6FL; 2007 EX250F7F, EX250F7FL> Fuel tank may have been weakened or punctured by a fairing mounting screw which causes a fuel leak and fire.
Kawasaki 2007 KLX250s> Spot weld for the rear shock top mount fails and can fail which will result in a crash. Dealers will replace the motorcycle.
